Inspired by John Waters’ “high camp” style, with vibrant leopard-print carpets, vintage furniture, and flamingo motifs, the hotel’s eclectic design is an homage to Baltimore icons with rooms boasting four color schemes: cerise, citron, jade, and azure. Expect canopy beds, plush quilted bedding, hand-beaded Indian lampshades, charming vintage finds, and handpicked artwork from around the globe. Public spaces are designed to pique curiosity and include a burl-laden café reminiscent of a 1930s ocean liner and a mirrored cocktail lounge that recalls the early disco scene. Built in 1912, the nine-story Latrobe Building in Baltimore’s Mount Vernon Historic District. A careful renovation has transformed the spaces into an inviting hotel featuring an all-day cafe and a late-night lounge.

Food and Drink:
Blooms:
A stylish combination of 1920s Art Deco glamour with irreverent revamps from the 1970s and 1980s, Bloom’s is where dreams take flight. With a cocktail menu that draws inspiration from the Roaring 20’s, features classics from the Prohibition era as well as famous drinks from the 1970s. Set on the lobby level, to the right of the reception, this beautiful cocktail bar is easy to reach but hard to leave.

Ash-Bar: Inspired by a relaxed pace and the community-minded feel of old-world cafes, Ash—Bar presents a welcoming atmosphere where afternoons can stretch long into night. Come dark, the salon society gathers at Ash—Bar for a seductive setting with high-class cocktails and an anything goes mindset. Here, Manhattans, rum daiquiris, and martinis are paired with light, sophisticated fare like fromage blanc, duck rillettes, marinated olives, and more. A selection of beer and wine is also available.
