After more than a year of transformation, the Jewish Museum of Maryland has reopened with refreshed galleries, new spaces for gathering, and an engaging, participatory visitor experience. The newly renovated Museum invites visitors to explore Jewish life, history, and culture in Maryland through exhibitions, interactive installations, and community storytelling.
Located in Baltimore’s historic Jonestown neighborhood, the Museum campus includes two landmark synagogues: the Lloyd Street Synagogue, one of the oldest synagogues in the United States, and the historic B’nai Israel Synagogue. Visitors can step inside these remarkable spaces through docent-led tours, an engaging documentary, and interpretive exhibits that bring Jewish Baltimore’s past and present to life.
Highlights include newly designed exhibition galleries, a state-of-the-art production studio, and interactive experiences throughout the Museum. Whether you are drawn to history, architecture, art, or cultural storytelling, the Jewish Museum of Maryland offers a meaningful and memorable visit.
